CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association – has announced a formal alliance with the Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada. The alliance will enable both organizations to better share resources and collectively advance the transportation industry and the interests of their respective members.

“We are thrilled to announce this most recent alliance,” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “Supporting women throughout our industry has been a significant priority for CITT and our goal of promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in logistics. The sector is lucky to have many incredibly talented women. But it’s also plain to see that women are underrepresented and face systemic disadvantages,” she continued. “CITT is proud of our member-run Women in Logistics Network, the representation of women in our annual Canada’s Logistics Conference, and our other initiatives to advance women in our industry.

“The goals and mandate of the WTFC aligns strongly with our vision for the future of the industry. We’re looking forward to our collaborations in the months and years ahead.”

“The Women’s Trucking Federation of Canada is excited to be part of this synergy with CITT.” Says Shelley Walker, Founder and CEO of the Women’s Trucking Federation. “Our common goal of providing resources and guidance will make an even greater impact for our industry across Canada."

“As our organizations develop and continue to mature, we are creating a stronger foundation by collaborating. We are eager to create and improve new and existing programs and events to attract more people to trucking. “
