Enbridge Gas Announced as Endorsed Business Partner
Enbridge Gas is the latest business to be endorsed by CITT.
CITT is pleased to announce that Enbridge Gas has been
recognized as its latest Endorsed Business Partner. This endorsement is
reserved for organizations serving or in the business of transportation which
offer exemplary products and services – and which demonstrate an upstanding
commitment to ethical operations and client service.
Canada’s largest natural gas storage, transmission and
distribution company, Enbridge celebrates its 175th year in business
in 2023.
“Enbridge Gas is very well-known in Canada – and
has been a trusted partner for countless businesses over its
years in business” says Pina Melchionna, President & CEO of CITT. “With
Enbridge Gas’s vital role to industry in Canada, their track record of service,
and their wide range of products and solutions, endorsing the organization was
an easy choice for CITT.” She continues “We’re especially impressed with their
alternative fuel and green strategies, which align with CITT’s own perspective
on the importance of clean transportation in our industry’s future. We’re
looking forward to working with Enbridge Gas and highlighting the many ways
logistics professionals can take advantage of their offerings.”
Of the endorsement and partnership, Per Polderman, Energy
Solutions Advisor and Tariq Qurashi, Alternative Fuels Specialist of Enbridge Gas
say:
“Enbridge Gas has joined CITT to offer its members low-carbon
fuel solutions (compressed natural gas/CNG, renewable natural gas/RNG and
hydrogen) for shippers that can apply to material handling, drayage and on road
applications. Enbridge Gas’ support includes business consultation on capital
and O&M and emission reductions through fuel switching, efficiency, and
conservation.
Market ready ‘on road’ solutions, such as CNG/RNG, can reduce
O&M and emissions, and provide a quieter, cleaner drive for vehicles from
highway tractors to delivery vehicles. RNG advances the circular economy by
using diverted methane to displace diesel emissions (CO2, PM, NOx and SOx).
For warehouses and distribution centres located in Ontario,
Enbridge Gas offers incentives for energy conservation which include incentives
for HVAC optimization, such as equipment/controls including heat pumps and
temperature setbacks. In addition to HVAC equipment, Enbridge Gas supports
building envelope improvements such as dock door seals, air curtains, roof
insulation improvements and other energy conservation measures that reduce
natural gas consumption. Enbridge Gas incentives also reduce operating expenses
and CITT members’ carbon footprint.”
