CITT is pleased to recognize Red River College Polytechnic (RRC Polytech) as a Centre of Excellence in Logistics Learning, providing more career opportunities and advantages for students in the logistics field. RRC Polytech is the first academic institution in Manitoba to receive this gold-standard designation from CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association.
Starting May 1, 2023, the RRC Polytech certificate program Transportation, Logistics, and Supply Chain Management now includes all the academic requirements for graduates to earn the CITT-Certified Logistics Professional (CCLP®) designation. This gives graduates the most streamlined path to holding Canada’s logistics credential. Through RRC Polytech’s relationship with CITT, students will also get enhanced connection to industry employers and a national, professional network.
“RRC Polytech is one of CITT’s original academic partners, and a cornerstone of our national organization’s strong presence in Manitoba,” said Pina Melchionna, CITT’s President & CEO. “We’re extremely pleased to see this relationship advance to the point where RRC Polytech is officially a Centre of Excellence in Logistics Learning. It’s a win-win, setting program graduates up for quicker success in the job market, and helping Manitoba’s employers address the growing supply chain talent shortage.”
RRC Polytech and CITT have a long history as partners in transportation and logistics education. Since 1995, RRC Polytech has delivered CITT’s foundational industry-vetted logistics courses – Transportation Systems and Logistics Processes – to the Winnipeg-area market.
“Partnerships like the one RRC Polytech has with CITT are so important because it means our students can enter their careers with certified skills and added mentorship,” says Fred Meier, President and CEO, RRC Polytech. “The benefits of making connections and learning from industry professionals are second to none, and it provides our students with an advantage.”
Following the May session, the next intake for RRC Polytech’s Transportation, Logistics and Supply Chain Management program is scheduled for the Winter 2024 term. Click here to learn more or email cde@rrc.ca.
