CITT Launches Quickly Attainable Transportation Logistics Microcredential
CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association – announces the launch of the Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics microcredential.
CITT – Canada’s Logistics Association – has announced the launch of the Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics microcredential. Previously only available in exclusive settings and for the employees of leading companies who demand their teams’ foundational logistics competencies build up as fast as possible, this microcredential is now available to the wider industry, with the first online offering starting January 20th. Participants will finish in summer 2025.
The Canadian Transportation & Distribution Logistics microcredential is specifically for early-career professionals looking to build a strong base in in-demand industry competencies – and who want the credibility of a credential from Canada’s Logistics Association on their resume.
CITT has also seen significant uptake in this credential from select corporate partners and believes it fills a significant need in the industry for quickly delivering training in key competencies to teams on both the shipper and carrier sides, and for those in sales and other functions that benefit from understanding transportation, distribution, and logistics better.
The microcredential also provides credit towards CITT’s respected CCLP (CITT-Certified Logistics Professional) designation and is positioned as the ideal entry point for those eventually seeking CCLP certification as well.
“This is perhaps the most exciting new offering in my time here at the organization,” says Pina Melchionna, CITT’s President & CEO. “For some time now, we’ve been hearing from people in the industry how important it is to them to build their credibility and skills quickly. Both from individuals looking to accelerate their careers, and from senior management who want to give their teams a baseline understanding of the business to set them up for success.”
She continues, “We’ve had tremendously positive feedback on this microcredential from the organizations we’ve been offering it to exclusively. Given the demand, it only makes sense to open this up to the entire industry. It’s truly in step with our mandate of serving everyone in the sector and giving people and businesses the abilities to thrive.”
“Now, individuals and teams can build their abilities in just 6 months – with a credential from CITT to prove it”.
